When teachers begin a lesson with a read-aloud it gives her a chance to incorporate many educational lessons. Firstly, it provides students with a model of fluent reading, which is important for any young child who is just starting to read. in addition it gives the teacher an opportunity to introduce a topic that she would like to discuss some time during a different content area. Also, Read- aloud is a great way to introduce new vocabulary words to the students. Many classrooms have a read-aloud, some teachers prefer implementing this technique in the beginning of a phonics lesson or and some rather read-aloud at the end of the day. Reading aloud invites children into the world of books, takes them on journeys to faraway lands, and motivates them to learn and explore.
